Fasto UV104 – High Strength UV Curable Adhesive

Fasto UV104 is a single-component, medium-viscosity, UV-curable adhesive formulated for glass-to-glass and glass-to-metal bonding. It cures rapidly when exposed to UV light, producing a clear, tough, and durable bond with exceptionally high mechanical strength.

Specifically designed for edge-to-edge bonding, Fasto UV104 is ideal for applications where optical clarity, structural strength, and long-term durability are essential.

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure all bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dust, and contaminants.
  • Protect the adhesive from unintended UV exposure prior to curing.

Application Method

  1. Apply Fasto UV104 to one bonding surface only.
  2. Assemble parts accurately, ensuring proper alignment.
  3. Expose the entire bond line to UV light to initiate curing.
  4. Use UV lamps for controlled and repeatable curing results.

Curing Guidelines

  • Fixture time: <10 seconds @ 20 mW/cm² (365 nm)
  • Typical depth of cure: up to ~3 mm
  • Designed for closely fitting glass and metal joints

Additional Notes

  • Sunlight can cure the adhesive, but UV lamps are recommended for consistency.
  • Dispensing systems must use black, UV-opaque tubing to prevent premature curing.
