Fasto 555 is a low-viscosity, high-strength, very fast curing modified ethyl cyanoacrylate adhesive engineered for instant bonding of plastics, rubbers, leather, and other common industrial substrates. Its exceptionally rapid fixture time and strong adhesion make it ideal for high-speed assembly, repair, and precision bonding applications where immediate handling strength is required.

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dust, and contaminants
  • For best results, lightly abrade smooth surfaces and clean using a suitable Fasto cleaner
  • Ensure proper alignment before application due to very fast bonding speed

Application Method

  • Apply a small amount of Fasto 555 to one bonding surface only
  • Bring parts together immediately and apply light pressure
  • Hold until handling strength is achieved

Note: Use minimal adhesive. Over-application may slow curing and reduce bond strength.

Curing Information

  • Fixture time: 2–3 seconds
  • Handling strength: Within seconds
  • Full cure: 24 hours (ambient conditions)
  • Maximum gap fill: 0.10 mm

Fasto Cyanoacrylate Activators may be used on difficult or low-energy substrates to further accelerate cure speed.

Joint & Bonding Guidelines

  • Best performance on close-fitting joints
  • Apply adhesive in a thin, continuous film
  • Excessive bond gaps will slow polymerisation
  • Low humidity and low temperatures may increase curing time
  • Some low surface energy plastics (PE, PP, PTFE) may require an activator
