Surface Preparation

  • Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, oil, rust, scale, and contaminants.
  • Clean surfaces using a suitable Fasto cleaner to improve adhesion.

Application Method

  1. Apply Fasto Redisil GP using a manual or pneumatic dispensing gun.
  2. Extrude a continuous and uniform bead onto the prepared surface.
  3. Assemble or tool joints immediately to avoid premature skin formation.
  4. Apply sufficient sealant to ensure complete sealing.
  5. Remove excess sealant after tooling, if required.

Construction Joint Sealing

  • Ensure joint surfaces are sound and contaminant-free.
  • For larger joints, use a backer rod or bond breaker tape.
  • Use masking tape for neat joints and remove it before skinning occurs.

Curing Information

  • Skin formation: ~10 minutes
  • Tack-free time: 15–20 minutes
  • Full cure: 24 hours
(Curing time depends on temperature, humidity, and joint thickness)
