Surface Preparation

  • Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, oil, rust, scale, or release agents.
  • Clean substrates using a suitable Fasto cleaner for improved adhesion.

Application Method

  1. Apply Fasto S950 using a manual or pneumatic dispensing gun.
  2. Extrude a continuous bead onto the prepared surface.
  3. Assemble parts immediately to avoid premature skin formation.
  4. Tool the sealant as required.
  5. Remove excess material using a suitable cleaner.

Construction Joint Sealing

  • Ensure joint surfaces are sound, clean, and contaminant-free.
  • For large joints, use a backer rod or bond breaker tape.
  • Apply masking tape for clean edges and remove it after tooling and before skin formation.

Curing Information

  • Skin over time: 10–15 minutes
  • Tack-free time: 25–30 minutes
  • Full cure: 24 hours
    (Curing time depends on humidity, temperature, and joint depth)
