Fasto S990 – Automotive Grade, Flange Silicone Sealant

Fasto S990 is a one-part, high-performance, heavy-duty RTV silicone sealant engineered for oil-exposed and mechanically demanding applications. Its neutral cure, non-corrosive, low-odor, and high oil-tolerant formulation makes it ideal for automotive, electrical, and industrial sealing and bonding applications.
The non-slumping consistency allows smooth application on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Surface Preparation

  • Clean all surfaces thoroughly to remove dust, oil, grease, rust, scale, and contaminants.
  • Surfaces may be cleaned using a suitable Fasto cleaner for improved adhesion.

Application Method

  • Apply Fasto S990 using a manual or pneumatic dispensing gun.
  • Extrude a continuous, uniform bead onto the prepared surface.
  • Assemble the mating components immediately to avoid premature skin formation.
  • Apply sufficient sealant to ensure complete sealing.
  • Remove excess material after assembly, if required.

Curing Information

  • Skin formation: 12–18 minutes
  • Tack-free time: 30–40 minutes
  • Full cure: 24 hours
    (Cure time depends on ambient temperature, humidity, and joint thickness.)
