Fasto LockSeal MV is a medium to high strength anaerobic threadlocker and sealant designed for locking and sealing threaded metal assemblies. It cures in the absence of air when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces, forming a strong, vibration-resistant bond that prevents loosening, leakage, and corrosion.
Its slightly oil-tolerant formulation allows bonding of lightly oily “as-received” parts, while delivering best performance on clean substrates. LockSeal MV is ideal where high strength opening is required, yet controlled disassembly remains possible with standard tools.
Fast Fixture Time Handling strength achieved in approximately 6 minutes.
Wide Operating Temperature Range -50°C to +150°C continuous service.
Excellent Chemical & Solvent Resistance Resistant to motor oil, petrol, brake fluid, alcohols, acetone, and water.
Corrosion Protection Prevents rust and fretting of assembled fasteners.
Green Colour Easy visual identification during application and inspection.
Benefits
Prevents vibration-induced loosening and thread leakage
Improves reliability of industrial and automotive assemblies
Reduces maintenance and re-tightening
Protects fasteners from corrosion and environmental attack
Suitable for fine to medium-coarse metric and imperial threads
Application details are available on request. Please contact our technical team.
Surface Preparation
Ensure threaded parts are clean, dry, and free from grease or heavy oil.
While slightly oil tolerant, clean substrates ensure maximum strength.
Application Method
Apply Fasto LockSeal MV to all engaged threads.
Assemble and tighten the fastener as required.
Allow the joint to cure under anaerobic (air-excluded) conditions.
Wipe off excess adhesive from the outside of the joint.
Curing Guidelines
Fixture time: ~6 minutes
Full cure: 12 hours
Maximum recommended gap: 0.10 mm
Additional Notes
Cure speed depends on temperature, bond gap, and substrate type.
On inert metals (e.g., stainless steel, zinc-plated parts) or at temperatures below 5°C, use Fasto AP49 Activator to accelerate cure (note: activator may reduce final strength by up to 30%).
Not recommended for pure oxygen or chlorine systems.
