Fasto UV92 – High Strength UV Curable Adhesive for Glass Bonding

Fasto UV92 is a single-component, very low viscosity, UV-curable adhesive engineered to deliver super high strength, transparent, and flexible bonds when exposed to UV light. It is specially formulated for glass-to-glass and glass-to-metal bonding, where optical clarity, non-yellowing performance, and precision assembly are essential.

With its excellent capillary action, Fasto UV92 can easily wick into pre-assembled joints, making it ideal for decorative and engineering-grade glass assemblies.

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dust, and contaminants.
  • Protect the adhesive from premature UV light exposure before application.

Application Method

  1. Apply Fasto UV92 to one bonding surface.
  2. Assemble and align the parts accurately.
  3. Expose the bond area to UV light (310 nm or above) to initiate curing.
  4. Ensure complete exposure of the bond line for uniform curing.

Curing Guidelines

  • Fixture time:
    • <5 seconds @ 10 mW/cm²
    • <3 seconds @ 30 mW/cm²
  • Typical depth of cure: ~2 mm
  • Maximum recommended bond depth: ~3 mm
(Greater depths possible using high-intensity UV lamps and longer exposure)

Additional Notes

  • UV lamps are recommended for controlled and repeatable curing.
  • Sunlight can cure the adhesive, but results may vary.
  • Use UV-opaque (black) tubing for dispensing systems to prevent premature curing.
