Fasto S887 – Neutral Cure RTV Silicone Sealant

Fasto S887 is a one-part, neutral cure, non-corrosive RTV silicone sealant designed for durable sealing, bonding, and glazing applications across electrical, mechanical, automotive, and construction industries. Its neutral cure formulation ensures safe use on metals and sensitive substrates, while delivering excellent resistance to environmental exposure.

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, grease, rust, scale, and contaminants.
  • Use a suitable Fasto cleaner for optimal adhesion.

Application Method

  1. Apply Fasto S887 using a manual or pneumatic dispensing gun.
  2. Extrude a continuous, uniform bead onto the prepared surface.
  3. Assemble or tool joints immediately to prevent premature skin formation.
  4. Remove excess sealant using an appropriate cleaner.

Construction & Expansion Joints

  • Ensure joint substrates are sound and contaminant-free.
  • For larger joints, use a backer rod or bond breaker tape.
  • Apply masking tape for neat edges and remove it after tooling and before skinning.

Curing Information

  • Skin formation: 10–14 minutes
  • Tack-free time: 20–25 minutes
  • Full cure: 24 hours
    (Curing time depends on ambient temperature, humidity, and joint depth)
