Fasto A143 – Fast-Curing, Oil-Tolerant Threadlocker for Industrial Fasteners
Fasto A143 is a general-purpose, medium-high strength, very fast curing anaerobic threadlocker designed to lock and seal threaded fasteners. It prevents loosening due to vibration, shock, and thermal cycling, while also sealing threads against leakage and corrosion.
Its thixotropic formulation prevents run-off and migration after application, making it ideal for vertical and overhead assemblies. Fasto A143 is also oil tolerant, allowing reliable bonding on “as-received” parts in industrial environments.
Medium-High Strength Threadlocker Securely locks nuts, bolts, and screws.
Very Fast Curing Fixture time as low as 15 minutes.
Oil Tolerant Formulation Bonds effectively even on lightly oily surfaces.
Thixotropic (Non-Drip) Prevents run-off, dripping, and migration.
Wide Temperature Resistance Operating range from -50°C to +210°C.
Corrosion Protection Prevents rust and fretting on assembled parts.
Blue Colour for Easy Identification

Extends service life of fasteners and assemblies
Primary Application
Sub-Applications
Functional Purpose
Key Performance Advantage
General Thread Locking
Metric & imperial nuts and bolts
Prevent loosening due to vibration
Medium–high strength, reliable locking
Industrial Machinery Fasteners
Mounting bolts, housing screws, cap screws
Secure fasteners in static & dynamic machines
High vibration & shock resistance
Automotive Assembly Thread Locking
Automotive bolts, engine & chassis fasteners
Maintains clamp load under service conditions
Oil tolerant, cures on “as received” parts
Leak Prevention in Threaded Joints
Bolted joints exposed to fluids
Seals threads against leakage
Anaerobic cure fills thread gaps
Medium & Coarse Thread Applications
Bolts with larger thread profiles
Consistent locking across thread sizes
Thixotropic – no run-off or migration
Corrosion Protection of Threads
Exposed or outdoor fasteners
Prevents fretting & corrosion
Seals threads from moisture ingress
High-Temperature Thread Locking
Fasteners exposed to heat
Long-term performance under heat
Operates up to high service temperatures
Surface Preparation
Ensure threads are clean, dry, and free from grease or heavy contamination.
While oil tolerant, best results are achieved on clean substrates.
Application Method
Apply Fasto A143 to all engaged threads.
Assemble the fastener and tighten as required.
Allow the joint to cure under anaerobic (air-excluded) conditions.
Wipe off excess adhesive from outside the joint.
Curing Guidelines
Fixture time: ~15 minutes
Full cure: 12 hours
Maximum recommended gap: 0.30 mm
Additional Notes
Cure speed depends on temperature, bond gap, and substrate type.
On inert metals (stainless steel, aluminium) or at temperatures below 5°C, use Fasto AP49 Activator to accelerate cure (note: activator may reduce final strength by up to 30%).
Not recommended for certain plastics due to possible stress cracking.
