Fasto CA26 is a medium-viscosity, high-strength, fast-curing ethyl cyanoacrylate adhesive developed for reliable bonding of close-fitting parts and smooth surfaces. With excellent adhesion to plastics, rubber, leather, paper, and general substrates, CA26 is ideal for applications requiring controlled flow, gap control, and durable bonds.

Its balanced viscosity (30–45 cPs) provides better handling than ultra-thin grades while maintaining rapid cure speed and strong mechanical performance.

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dust, and contaminants.
  • Proper alignment is essential due to fast curing behavior.

Application Method

  1. Apply a thin, controlled amount of Fasto CA26 to one surface.
  2. Join parts immediately and press firmly together.
  3. Hold until handling strength is achieved.
  4. Avoid over-application, as excess adhesive may slow curing and reduce bond strength.

Curing Guidelines

  • Fixture time: 5–10 seconds
  • Full cure: 24 hours
  • Maximum gap fill: 0.10 mm
  • Best results on close-fitting, smooth surfaces

Additional Notes

  • Cure speed depends on humidity, temperature, and substrate type.
  • Low surface energy plastics (PP, PE, PTFE) may require a Fasto Cyanoacrylate Activator.
  • For rework or removal, use Fasto CA Debonder (note: full removal from fabrics is not possible).
