Fasto CA15 – High Viscosity Cyanoacrylate Instant Adhesive

Fasto CA15 is a very high-viscosity, high-strength ethyl cyanoacrylate adhesive engineered for applications where gap filling, surface irregularities, and longer positioning time are required. It is especially effective for metal bonding and also performs reliably on rubbers, plastics, composites, and other common substrates.

With its controlled flow and excellent mechanical strength, Fasto CA15 is ideal for non close-fitting parts, rough or porous surfaces, and assemblies that need slightly more working time before fixturing.

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dust, and contaminants.
  • Proper alignment of parts is recommended before bonding.

Application Method

  1. Apply a small, controlled amount of Fasto CA15 to one surface.
  2. Join the components and press firmly together.
  3. Hold until handling strength is achieved.
  4. Avoid excessive adhesive application, as overuse may slow curing and reduce bond strength.

Curing Guidelines

  • Fixture time: 10–15 seconds
  • Full cure: 24 hours
  • Maximum gap fill: 0.20 mm
  • Best suited for non close-fitting and rough surfaces

Additional Notes

  • Cure speed depends on humidity, temperature, and substrate type.
  • Low surface energy plastics (PP, PE, PTFE) may require a Fasto Cyanoacrylate Activator.
  • For removal or rework, use Fasto CA Remover (complete removal from fabrics is not possible).
